Good morning! I hope that everyone had a great weekend. I just spent mine in Barcelona for my husbands birthday and it was lovely! Well, I hope it was lovely. I'm actually posting this in advance. I should knock on wood or something. The husband and I have some terrible travel luck. Maybe one day I'll share the trials and tribulations of living 3500 miles away from your favorite person. And hurricanes and earthquakes and volcanoes and lots and lots of snow.
Anyhoo, back to business, the business of thrifting! First up is this lovely Grindley Almond Petal toast rack. I now have three of these and just need the yellow one. I really hope that I stumble upon it soon, but its ok if it takes a while. The hunt is almost the best part! (The best part is using all my mismatched china every day.)
I also scored a Woods Ware cake plate. It has two Beryl plates and one Jasmine. I had thought it had an Iris plate. Truthfully, I'm still sort of on the hunt for a cake stand that will fill all my needs. However, my husband will never forgive me if I buy a fourth cake plate. They just take up sooo much space. I've actually taken this one apart and am storing it until a time when I can use it.
Did anyone else have any luck this week? Did Hurricane Irene ruin anyone elses day (week, month, year, life)?
